Smashing Magazine picks Osaka Popstar’s Rock’em O-Sock’em Live! in their 100 obscure and remarkable CD covers. The cover was painted by the amazingly talented John Pound. This was one of the most enjoyable and fun cd packages I’ve had the pleasure of working on to date, and it’s really nice to see that other people are enjoying it out there. Exciting to see it mentioned alongside some brilliant covers from the likes of Frank Zappa, The Sex Pistols, Pink Floyd and the Beatles.
The digipack CD comes with a limited edition official “Garbage Pail Kids” card of the cover character; and the center spread was a blast for me to to create and design along with John Cafiero. Here’s a small peek at this whole package.
